How Executive Care Secures, Protects and Shares Client and Employee Personal Information


In accordance with Connecticut General Statutes sec. 42-471, Executive Care has adopted the following Privacy Protection Policy. This policy shall be displayed on Executive Care’s website at all times.


Executive Care is committed to maintaining your trust and confidence and accordingly maintains the following privacy policy to protect “personal information” as defined in Connecticut General Statutes sec. 42-471(c), as part of conducting its business activities. Executive Care’s Privacy Protection Policy is designed to protect the confidentiality of personal information, to prohibit the unlawful disclosure of personal information and to limit access to personal information.


Protecting your personal information is our priority. This Privacy Protection Policy applies to Executive Care of Stratford, CT and www.stratford.executivehomecare.com and governs data collection and usage. For the purposes of this Privacy Protection Policy, unless otherwise noted, all references to Executive Care of Stratford, CT include www.stratford.executivehomecare.com and Cammie LLC. The Executive Care website is a homemaker-companion agency website. By using the Executive Care website, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.


Pursuant to Connecticut General Statutes sec. 42-471, it is the policy of Executive Care to protect the privacy of your personal information by doing the following:


(a) Safeguarding any data, computer files and documents containing your personal information from any misuse by third parties;


(b) Destroying, erasing or making unreadable any data, computer files and documents containing your personal information prior to their disposal;


(c) Protecting the confidentiality of your Social Security number and other personal information;


(d) Prohibiting the unlawful disclosure of your Social Security number and other personal information;


(e) Limiting and/or restricting the access to your Social Security number and other personal information to other third parties; and


(f) Limiting the access of your Social Security number and other personal information only to our employees who need access to your personal information in order to allow us to provide home care services to you, limiting the access of these employees to the extent that it is needed, and otherwise imposing restrictions and reasonable safeguards on our employees to prevent them from accessing your personal information.


Specifically, all client and employee information is confidential. All hard copies of client records are stored in a secured (locked) cabinet in the Executive Care office. All electronic records are stored on a secure, encrypted and password-protected server. Any personal information and Social Security numbers transmitted to long term care insurance companies will be done so by a secure encrypted process through our protected server. All records of Executive Care are available for inspection or audit by the Department of Consumer Protection. This policy also pertains to the collection of Social Security numbers of all Executive Care employees.


In the event that there is ever a breach of security regarding your personal information, we intend to comply with applicable state and federal law regarding the notification and disclosure to you and to the appropriate authorities of the circumstances surrounding the breach.


“Personal information” for purposes of this policy is defined as any information that you may provide to us that can be used to identify you individually, including but not limited to your name, email address, home address, telephone or fax numbers, Social Security number, driver’s license number, state identification card number, bank account number, credit card or debit card number, passport number, alien registration number, as well as any company account number that we assign to you.
